Geithoorn(Small Dutch Village in the North)
Geithoorn is also called the Venice of the Holland. On the entrance of the place, there is a canal in between the roads similar to Venice, but the only difference which I found was that the houses are not colored as they are in Venice also Giethoorn has public transport available too. I could see some buses and the cars parked .
There are many eat outs on the sides of the roads. It has bridges also to go to the other side of the road. It is quite pretty. It almost gives you the feel of being in Venice. There are so many beautiful flowers all over the place and have different kind of monuments, Sculpture, artistic pieces which totally adds to its beauty.
People usually hire the boats there to explore the place. There are different kinds of boats designed for different purposes such as they can be open, covered, made for 2 people or group of people and etc.

People usually hire the boats there to explore the place. There are different kinds of boats designed for different purposes such as they can be open, covered, made for 2 people or group of people and etc.
We also hired a boat there for 2:30 hrs and started our journey. There are different routes according to the map designed some are longer, some are shorter and etc.. We took the longest one as we wanted to explore the place as much as possible. We were boating on the canal and there are no roads at the both sides of the canal. medium. People specially who resides there, they actually own boats and use that for their transportation.
We crossed so many typical Dutch themed old houses, cafes and many other beautiful places in our journey. There are so many doves, swans and other water birds all over the place. It is a treat to watch them all enjoying in the water. We felt connected to the nature there.
Then we moved towards the backwater of the sea. It is quite long and peaceful area and the view is amazing.
There is a small island there (not sure if artificial). We parked the boat there and went to that island. It is a kind of a man-made small beach with all tall palm trees etc. One can really get the summery beachy feeling there like we did. We spend some time there and then we started our journey again and during our rest of the journey we saw trees touching the water and their reflection on the water is like a scenery itself. Then we stopped our journey their and returned the boat to the vendor.
It was indeed a beautiful place to visit and a must visit in summer season. What a lovely way to spend the day!
