You know that excitement you get as a child when you get to go somewhere really cool. Back then it only took my favorite park, getting ice cream, mini golf, or something else extremely simple to bring me joy. Going to Disney gave me that feeling of child like joy once again. Everything was familiar and yet so different. It peaked my curiosity to see an aspect of American culture placed in a French environment.

Disney is primarily thought of as American I expected that they would speak both French and English. I was not expecting all the other European languages that were spoken. Most of the instructions for rides were many languages. It makes sense though since there are so many countries close to France. We also watched a Disney princess show and part of it was English and part of it was in French. The melding of the two cultures was probably one of the more interesting things I witnessed while being on the trip.
The day, as expected, was filled with fun and laughter. It was nice for once not to feel like I had to hide or play down the fact that I was a tourist. I just put on my Minnie mouse ears and forgot about the rest of the world. I wish I could always feel like this.
After the parks closed, we went to Starbucks (yet another familiar American place.) The conversation afterwards was almost as great as the day. When we went to Disney, we had only been in Paris for about a week and a half. It was nice to take some time to debrief about our time thus far.
