Day 7 Friday

Camped in car just before Ayr.. Headed into Ayr for a look see.
Ohh yeah, its HOT up here!! only dropped to 27 last night, made it real hard to sleep in car! Managed to get about 3 hours sleep, drove half the night cause it was just too damm hot to sleep in the car.

Made it to Cairns. Car sounds like a drag car. Sounds like major hole in exhaust, so bad it is shaking the floor of the car and vibrating everything inside the car as well. Googled an exhaust joint and stopped in there Tuff Tuff?? exhaust in North Cairns. They stuck it up on the hoist and gee look at that, only 1 bolt hanging by a couple of

threads holding the flange behind the catalytic converter together, it had moved apart about half an inch.. 3 new bolts, a gasket and a hanger rubber and she's all good to go. Done on the spot for $50. Great deal I think.
The rains have started in Cairns, the streets are about 1 foot deep in water so I am renting a motel room and hopefully things are better tomorrow so I can have a bit of a look around Cairns.
Staying in the Aspect Central Motel - Room 1A.. Small room with a single bed, fridge, AC, toilet, shower. Confy enough, not too noisy.
