Day 14 - Friday

Well looks like I'm not going far today, I am 165km inland from Derby.. I visited Derby, bought some coke and smokes, you know the essentials. Derby is a reasonably nice little town with ocean on 3 sides, the red dirt goes all the way into the sea.. I wasnt getting out to take pictures because it was pissing down.
Seems to be a pretty boring place to get stuck out here. Derby was booked out unless I payed $210 a night, and bugger that, I'd rather sleep in the car again. Its getting windy again out here. That cyclone was supposed to make landfall a ways down the coast by now, cant get radio so dont know what happened. Heres hoping it disapates

pretty quickly so I can get to Port Hedland, its the only road! UNLESS I travel back into NT and down to Alice and across to Perth, probably take me a week! I'll ride it out, see how bored I can get!
Slept in back of ute since I was pretty safe with the window down last night.
