Ngumban Cliffs Rest Stop
Up with the sun again, 6am, watched it rise over the cliffs then back on the road. Nearly 5 hour drive to
Broome, some boring Savannah scenery along the way with some nice rocky formations thrown in here and there. So i get to Broome and bugger me they are on cyclone yellow alert, buggered if I knew what yellow alert meant but it became apparent very quickly.. NOTHING was open, all shops, servos, even maccas, all closed for the storm which is apparently travelling southwards down the coast. Well that stuffed me right up, the road to Port Hedland will be closed

to traffic in a few hours and its already only recommended for 4WD's so not going that way, and not staying in Broome where its pissing down with rain and windy as all hell.
So I fought the storm out of Broome, 350km's before I was out of the nasty nasty weather and theres only 2 options, continue back to the rest stop or head for Derby, I chose back to the rest stop since Derby is on the stormy coast as well.
So I am back in the same place I left from this morning again!
Slept in car with window down all the way and my head hanging out the window!

Tomorrow I either have to drive back to Broome, or further inland to Halls Creek to see if I have any phone service there, I do in Broome but if the roads are still closed I dont know what I will do.
