Righteous beard

It was strange to reach Cairns. The east coast had seamed to go so fast. Even so I was ready to leave Australia. The heat was unbearable and I'd had enough of beaches and drinking goon. We spent our 4 days in Cairns mainly preparing for South America. We bought a few pieces of clothes each and threw a few old ones away. I bought myself an awesome new camera as my old one broke on Fraser island. It's by far the best camera I've had so I was hoping to get some great pics in South America.

We also used Cairns to say goodbye to everyone. We watched 50 shades of grey with the girls, an interesting experience, and had a

final night out with them. It was sad to say goodbye to the only other familiar faces from home. We said goodbye to Solomon, Mark and the others on a big night in Gilligans.

My highlight of Cairns was probably when an american man told me I had a righteous beard. That really made my day.

Australia had been great fun and I had met some awesome people along the way. It had been a nice break after Asia, with less to think about and everyone speaking English. I knew the hardest, and most exciting part of my trip was to come, and I couldn't wait.
