Harajuku and Shibuya
We started off at the Meiji Shrine in Harujuku today. The shrine is surrounded by an amazing garden and has a massive Tori gate. The shrine its self was very nice and we were lucky enough while we were there to see a Shinto wedding in progress. After eating lunch there (ramen) for the low low price of 600 yen, we hit the pavement again walking throuhg the many fashion stores in Harajuku. Unfortunately the pop culture days of Harujuku girls milling about have ended. But the fashion stores still remain. We then strolled through Shibuya for some more shopping where we payed our respects at the
Hachiko statue (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachik%C5%8D) and crossed the massive cross walk that is shown in every western media depiction of Tokyo ever! BF stopped in at Tower records which is 9 stories tall. While he wandered off to look at some more Vinyl shops, I made my way top forever 21, and scored some nice bargains. We grabbed a couple of burgers for dinner at a really nice side street place and then headed back to the hotel to pack as we leave tomorrow, but never fear we will be back in Tokyo later!
