New chapter

Monday!
Wow the anxiety is high. Our son Scott and his generous wife and my friend Cindy came to pick up Lizzie yesterday. For those of you who don't remember, Lizzie is our 9 yr old Yorkie (our baby girl). I heard this morning she is doing very well. Cindy is a profesisonal care provider and cares for many dogs, cats, birds and any other animal in need of care. Lizzie has settled in and though she usually doesn't eat the first week we are away, is actually eating very well. Competition is a good thing in this case. Lizzie doesn't share well, at least not when it comes to her mom and dad people. She however slept with 2 other dogs in Cindy and Scotts bed. What a happy and lucky crowd.

I just signed off work. All feels pretty good; done!

All is packed with the exception of last minute items. I am off to get a pedicure. What a wonderful reward for all the hard work over the last couple days.

We will park at my brother Joe's apartment. Joe works as a store manager at the international airport. He will take us to the airport and enjoy breakfast or lunch with us prior to our departure. Is lunch to early for wine. No Lorazepam! I can do this! Yes I can. With the help of a glass of wine.

I just found out my Autie in Berlin is already in the hospital. Not sure this was for her hip replacement or if she is ill. The message not clear. Of course my mother (Auntie is her only sibling) is worried. Auntie has no other family living in Germany except an estranged spouse who lives in senior housing. I will need to locate the hospital as soon as we arrive which will be Wednesday eve at about 6 pm. We land in Frankfurt at 10:30 am, pick up our car in the city proper and then take the 5 hour drive to Berlin. It was much cheaper to drive to Berlin than fly from Frankfurt and our airlines only flys to Frankfurt. Please pray for my Auntie Chrita.

Did I tell you i'll be bored driving to Berlin. So its ok to email or text me. It will be about 430 am for you.
