Writing this, I am sitting in Mum and Dad's lounge room in Guildford, Surrey, UK. Originally I decided and booked my flights to the UK for a month to visit Mum and Dad but after having a quarter life crisis at 24 years of age I decided to move to the UK indefinitely. I had not long before broken up with my boyfriend of 2 years who I lived with as I found out he was cheating on me so I decided moving indefinitely would be just what I needed!

I quit my job at Centuria in North Sydney, packed up and moved out of my apartment in Mosman (threw out most of my clothes and belongings) and stored the bare minimum at my uncle's house, sold my car, moved my flight forward because I didn't want to wait around Sydney any longer and then I boarded the plane to face my fears of the unknown. I always had to be organised, have a plan and save money so this decision was really going to test me but that's what I thought would be good for me.

I had a few things planned from my original 1 month holiday:
- I was going to stay with Mum and Dad in Guildford, Surrey, UK
- Go on holidays with Jo, Lionel, Mum and Dad to Greece and Italy
- Go to paris for the weekend with Mum, Dad, Nan and Gunny and meet Jo and Lionel there.

The plan now is to live with Mum and Dad in Guildford, go on the couple of holidays planned, travel with Jo and Lionel through France, Spain and Portugal (Jo and Lionel had planned to travel Europe in a camper van), come back to Guildford and get a job in mid November, go on holidays to Germany and Austria for 4 nights over Christmas, continue working and perhaps travel again in summer before going home. The plan: travel, work and live in Guildford for a year. Let's see what happens!
