Arrived in Addis Ababa feeling a little like a sardine after 12 hours of nonevent flight on Ethiopian Airlines direct flight from Toronto. The city is growing so fast and I hardly recognize the skyline. Staying at SIM for the first week and will be going out today, Saturday to view some of the city with Maria who will be my liaison for much of the trip. Will be uploading some pictures soon. The smells of the city are enhanced by the smog of traffic. No sleeping in as the Mosque belts out their six o'clock prayers all over and the local bars try to drown out the prayers with their music, and so the city springs to life. Keep posted for more soon.
I have been asked to document some of the more than 16 projects that Devxchange has in Ethiopia in the areas of Health, Water, Income Generation, Vocational Training and Agro-Forestry.
