Well the day started a little rough since we fell asleep... again. But at least now we had time to get ready, we didn't take breakfast but well, those are just details. Today, we went to Monet's house. Claude Monet was a painter of the impresionism period. He is mostly famous for his painting of the nynphaeal pond. Well, his works are always full of color and life, and by visiting his house I could see what he saw years ago when he painted. The water, the light, the reflection, flowers, house, everything was surreal and I felt like a I was in a fairytale story. I think that this place will be one of my favorites of all the trip.
Then we headed to some restaurants so we could eat, today I ate italian food:

Well the day started a little rough since we fell asleep... again. But at least now we had time to get ready, we didn't take breakfast but well, those are just details. Today, we went to Monet's house. Claude Monet was a painter of the impresionism period. He is mostly famous for his painting of the nynphaeal pond. Well, his works are always full of color and life, and by visiting his house I could see what he saw years ago when he painted. The water, the light, the reflection, flowers, house, everything was surreal and I felt like a I was in a fairytale story. I think that this place will be one of my favorites of all the trip.
Then we headed to some restaurants so we could eat, today I ate italian food:
ravioles. They were so creamy, and delicious. I ended up full after I ate the whole plate. Then we went to town to visit Vincent Van Gogh's place where he stayed during a while, where he died and where his grave is along with his brother's. The story of this artist is very tragic and sad, he wasn't completely ok in his mind, and apparently his brother was his only support. All he ever wanted was to expose his paintings in a café, but he never did. He was recognized until he was dead, which is awful. But well, we couldn't take pictures, but I have those images in my mind. Then we bought some french pastry, and then we went back to Paris.
We arrived early so we decided to go in the subway to a noodle place that we saw in Saint-Paul, and it was really good, we really needed something hot after the cold days.
What I learned today:
- The subway is not that hard to use, you just have to get used to it.
- Van Gogh's style could have been more than just a style, it could have been that he was always anxious and that's why we see rough brushstrokes.
- Don't ignore the alarm in the morning.
That is it for today.
