History of art in Paris

This is almost the last day of our trip. César is gone, Yolanda is now gone too and the end is feeling close, but not yet. Today we started the day early because we now had to go to Versailles to visit the Palace of the kings. This Palace was build by Louis XIV, and I realized that it was basically a 10 year old whim, but well... Louis XIV. So there was he who built this Palace made of gold and marble, incredible paintings and so on. Then Louis XV, great grand son of Louis XIV, who just made parties and made naked woman trendy in art. Finally, Louis XVI, who unfortunately had to pay for all the broken dishes and suffered the French revolution. We visited the gardens and the rooms, and it was raining again, but it is what it is.

Paris, France

Then we came back to the hotel, took a break and went out again to look for somewhere to eat. We ended up in a place of burgers in a 60's american style version, it was really nice. And the food and milkshakes were delicious. We then saw a little bit of Les Samaritaines, we didn't buy anything. But then my friend remembered that we hadto visit the bakery in which Ladybug's bakery was inspired. So we went to Montmartre and took some photos and bought pastry, my 12 year old girl was excited.
At the end, we went to a café, read a little in there while we drank our beverages. Took the métro, passing our cards and moving through it like pros. I like this city.
At the end, we went back to the hotel early so we could organize a little our luggage.
What I learned:
- There is street art everywhere in Paris.
- Most people prefer walking/bike/métro than cars.
- Even though I am not fluent in french, I think I could survive here.
That is it for today.
