The scene from our camp and everywhere the eye could see was littered with millions of wildebeests. It looked as if ants were covering the earth. In search of greener plains for grazing, the Wildebeests cross the Mara river and face crocodiles, sheer rocks, and strong currents. Not all of them make it across. We watched two babies and their mothers struggle over a 45 minute timeframe and they finally made the crossing. Christina and I were sitting there rooting for them the entire time!!
As we were having a wonderful bush breakfast, Amos said - quick pack up!!. He could see in the distance the herd beginning to run - we raced and saw our second crossing.
