Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

After a quick flight from Lake Manyara airstrip we arrived at Kogatende and was picked up by our new guide, Amos. We had about a 45 minute safari ride to our new camp - Lamai Serengeti - where we were greeted by our hosts, Eric and Natasha.

The BIG event for this part of the safari is to see the famous wildebeest migration across the Mara river. We were not

disappointed and saw three river crossings thanks to our guide Amos - a member of the Masai tribe. Amos asked Christina if there was anything else in particular that she was looking to see. She said, no, we had already seen the big five.....and then, she said, yes, I really want to see a male lion up close!

Within 5 minutes we pulled up and there was a beautiful male lion posing for us !!
