My diary

Back Home and meeting the family.

As this is not strictly part of our travels these four or five weeks will be largely passed over save a few points. We spent a very pleasant week in Highcliffe with Wendy’s mum and Dad followed by some time at home where I spent some time with my mum.
Then we also hooked up with Charlie and Anthony. Charlotte made a BIG news announcement – she is pregnant expecting their first child on 17th July this year! How did she keep that a secret!!!!
This year looks to be very exciting already.
A few nights were spent at the Blackberry Jack. An unremarkable venue but none the less one we all love.
We spent three weeks in Salisbury cat sitting for Bob and Chris – we won’t forget the snow there in a hurry and our 94 year old drinking partner who still walks ½ a mile to the pub every Friday night.
Another activity was car window shopping as when we return to UK in July we will need a car so we spent some time looking.
We needed to apply our mind to possible future areas to live and Ashley Heath is at the top of our list at the moment…… watch this space.
A memorable night out was had at the Dolly Parton tribute show – which we loved even if it sounds cheesy.
I had a round of golf with Anthony and exploratory talks were had between Alexa, Anthony and their mortgage advisors which may lead to their first home purchase later this year.
We spent a really cool day eating and drinking with Viv and Tony who are really such great company and terrific examples of the benefit of young minds, much to aspire to.
My sister hosted a wonderful family day at her place where I got to spend time with all my family to chat and catch up on gossip in the family.
I hope not to offend those who we have not mentioned here but as I said at the beginning I have glossed over these weeks as I don’t see them as part of our travels.
Exciting times lay ahead.
