While crazy things are happening back home, today in France I had the opportunity to visit an American cemetery. Right on Omaha beach, where countless brave American men landed to selflessly fight and defend people of another nation in need. Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial

While crazy things are happening back home, today in France I had the opportunity to visit an American cemetery. Right on Omaha beach, where countless brave American men landed to selflessly fight and defend people of another nation in need. The heaviness in my heart and the awe that I had is almost indescribable. While walking among the white crosses, our national anthem played and everyone stopped and it became silent. I couldn't help but shed

some tears hearing my country's song play while literally standing among the fallen brave men who fought for not only my freedom but for the freedom of people of another nation. Not only that, but some veterans were there as well, and seeing those grown men cry.. I was very choked up at that sight.
While I respect everyone's decision on how they stand, or kneel if you will, for our nation, today I was definitely very proud to be an American.
