Chapter 14 NYC

Our long trip in Philly was very fun but we are excited to say that we are going to go to NYC and see what we could learn there. The distance was 97.2 miles away and the drive is 1 hour and 50. It is very hectic here but we plan on staying in the car a night. We spent $12.39 on gas and when we got their we headed straight to go see the statue of liberty. The tickets were $25.5o and to go to the top of the crown it was an extra $3. On the way to the statue of liberty the tour guide gave us some interesting facts about the statue of liberty. He told us the statue’s full name is Liberty Enlightening the World, the color that the statue of liberty original color was a dull brown color

after about 30 years the copper turned a green,it was a gift from France, given to America in 1886, lastly he told us that there are 25 windows in the crown. After our trip at the statue of liberty we ate at Nathan’s Famous, best hot dogs in town they were so good. After all that we headed to bed in the car and see where we go next.
