united states capital. Some interesting facts about the Washington monument, the Cover was made out of marble, it was made to honor our 1st president George Washington,no building in Washington D.C. is allowed to be taller than Washington Monument .An hour later we went to a famous restaurant named Ben’s Chili Bowl the Angus beef their was so amazing best food we have had so far. Next location is the national marine memorial we wanted to know some more history about it. There are many memorials with significant history like the US Marine Corps War Memorial, which honors all Marines who gave their life for their country. The statue is six men raising the flag, and that is the statue that is honoring all the Marines. We stopped by a book store and we saw a book that looked interesting. The book was about the tomb of the unknown soldier, it had information that we really liked. We learned that the tomb of the unknown is a monument dedicated to the U.S. service members who died without their remains being identified. The monument is located in Arlington

National Cemetery in Virginia. We also read about a museum named National Museum of American History which has an exhibit that is about The Star-Spangled Banner, and also the display of the almost 200-year old, 30-by 34-foot flag is displayed in a special environmentally-controlled chamber. After that museum we got to another well known museum named National Air and Space Museum the entrance was free and in this museum it has an airplane that is famous named Spirit of St. Louis. Interesting fact Charles Lindbergh on May 20–21, 1927, on the first solo non-stop transatlantic flight from Long Island, New York, to Paris, France, in which Lindbergh won the $25,000 Orteig Prize. Next we touch a moon rock.
