A very exciting day. After breakfast and a bath, granny, Nana and Poppa took me to the Van Hagh garden centre at Ware. We had a wonderful time. First we had a drink in the cafe, then we went to look at the animals. We saw some giant rabbits, some funny rabbits (one that looked like a lion), some big guinea pigs, chinchillas, meerkats, goats, chickens, geese, ducks, tortoises and pigs. Nana and Poppa bought me some food to feed the guinea pigs, the rabbits and the chooks. I loved seeing all the animals, I ran round and round the paths so I could see the pigs and the tortoises, they were my favourites.
Next we went to find the little steam train. We went past a place where you could ask questions and I went in and asked a man where the train was, he was very helpful and explained where to go. We found the train and went on a lovely ride, you had to hold tight and I sat just in front of granny and she held on to me. We saw lots of little stone animals and some real fish in a pond, and the driver blew the whistle a lot.
After the train ride I went to ask another question. This time I asked the way to the toys. The man told me and on the way there I spent ages sitting in different garden seats, it was great fun. I found a lovely toy – a little set of wooden cooking things and an embroidered pot holder, and I got a little wooden car as well. I took the toys to show to Nana Maureen who was waiting in the cafe. Poppa bought me a sandwich, some raisins and a juice, and Nana gave me her cucumber.
When we'd finished lunch we went to pay for the toys, and on the way Nana got me some bubbles to play with in the garden. Once we got home I had a lovely time blowing bubbles and playing with my toy cooking set. Mummy Skyped and I showed her my toys and told her about the animals I'd seen. After that, granny and Poppa took me to the park and when we got home Nana had made sausages and potatoes and vegetables for tea, it was delicious. I was sooo tired after my long day.
