Today was fantastic. I had read a book about Charlie and Lola going to London and I wanted to do the same things they did. Mummy and granny took me up to London on the train.
Voting
First we had to go to Australia House so that mummy and granny could vote. I was very well behaved and didn't make a fuss in the queue or while they were voting. I posted their votes into the box, it was fun.
A bus ride, a carousel and a playground
We hopped on a doubledecker bus and went upstairs, but we only went one stop. We were on Westminster Bridge, near the London Eye. First we stopped at a cafe to have a drink, I had a lovely smoothie with banana, orange and mango, it was delicious. We had planned to go on the London Eye, but it was going round very slowly and there was a big queue, so we decided to do other things instead. First we went on the carousel and I sat on a horse with mummy, it went for ages! Then I had a go on the playground but there were a lot of big kids there and most of the things were too big for me.
A boat ride
After a lot of walking about we found a boat right near the London Eye that would take us to Greenwich and was leaving in 10 minutes. It was great to be on the river Thames, we saw Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. I had my Charlie and Lola book with me and granny showed me those things in the book.
Greenwich
We got off the boat at Greenwich and went to Zizzi's for lunch. I had carrot, cucumber and garlic bread to start, spaghetti with cheese for the main course, and strawberry and chocolate ice cream with cones for dessert. Granny took me to see the man making the pizzas and putting them in the big oven, where you could see lots of flames that made it very hot.
After lunch we walked to the Maritime Museum where there was a great place called 'Ahoy' for me to play in. I sold ice creams and fish, shovelled coal into a furnace, dressed up in a long dress and jumped on some stuff that was like blue water.
More travel
We got another bus from the Maritime Museum to a big boat called the Cutty Sark, then we walked to the station and got a train to a station called Bank. There, we had to walk up and down loads of steps and several escalators. Then the train that came had so many people on it we couldn't fit in! We eventually got a train to Woodford and granny read me my Charlie and Lola book while we were travelling. When we got to Woodford, Poppa was there to meet us. I was VERY tired after my busy day!
