The Sassy llamas
Saturday, another 5am wake up call, however this time it was to rain! After some rain gear decisions and a hot chocolate boost we started off, heading towards two inca sites (Runkuraqay and Sayaqmarka). Rain rain rain! We literally ran to lunch where thankfully the rain stopped so our team spirit was a lot higher for the rest of the hike! We hiked 19km, ending at a fabulous view point! After a basin wash it was happy hour time, hair braiding appointments and mini treks to the 'toilet'! After dinner (chicken burgers) trying to make Jason say really and Rudy laugh, we were served a customised cake and thanked the porters!
Sunday, a 3am wake up call, we had a quick breakfast and walked 10 minutes to the check point to queue! After some beautification by flash light, we started our hike to the Golden Gate, and after that into the fabulous Machu Picchu. Here Jason and Rudy showed us about and there was a lot of photos! After a bus, train and another bus we arrived back in Cusco for well deserved showers and warm beds!
