London
On the first day, we landed at Stansted Airport and, very excited, we took the bus to the hotel. The journey was quite tiring because the flight was very early, but it was worth it as the hotel was very comfortable. After a long wait for two teachers and one student who had been left behind, we set off towards Buckingham Palace. The walk, although long and exhausting, was very interesting due to the parks we visited and the experience of taking the London Underground for the first time. After spending
some time admiring and taking photos at the palace, we headed towards Big Ben and had a ride on the London Eye. Dinner was in a traditional English pub, and the meal was fish and chips. Soon after, we returned to the hotel and ended our first day feeling excited for what was to come.
On the second day, we started with a delicious, hearty breakfast at the hotel and then took the tube to visit the Harry Potter shop. After the visit, we got back on the tube and traveled to Camden Town, where we had the freedom to choose where to have lunch and wander around. Hungry, we chose McDonald’s for lunch and bought some snacks at Aldi for later. Still full of energy, we took the tube to Oxford Street, where we visited some shops before having pizza at an Italian restaurant.
Afterwards, we went to see the musical Mamma Mia, which lasted around two hours. At the end of the day, we returned to the hotel by tube and rested until the next morning.
On the third day, we followed our usual morning routine and set off towards the Natural History Museum, where we learned a lot about past and present species on our planet. After the visit, we had lunch at Five Guys. Once our lunch break was over, we went to the Science Museum, which was located very close by. There, we explored the development of all types of science, including physics, chemistry, mechanics, medicine, and more. Next, we visited some of London’s busier areas, where we managed to buy some items for ourselves and gifts for people important to us. Afterwards, we had dinner at Cucina and then headed to Piccadilly, where we spent quite a bit of time visiting the Lego World store.
Our trip ended on the 25th of April. We started the day by heading from the hotel to the tube station, on our way to our first destination: the Financial District. We stayed there for about an hour and a half. Then, we took the tube to the Tower Hill area to visit, even if just from the outside, the Tower of London and, further along, Tower
Bridge. We also spent about an hour in that area before making our way to see St. Paul’s Cathedral. After that, we went to the area near the Tate Museum, where we had lunch and were free to visit the museum at our own pace. At the agreed time, we met up again and returned to the hotel, where we took the transfer to the airport to catch the flight that brought us back to Portugal.
Advertising Task
The VELO nicotine pouch advertisement, seen on public transport, uses several effective strategies to engage its target audience—urban commuters seeking convenient, tobacco-free nicotine options.
A promotional offer—“GET 20% OFF – USE CODE VELOTUBE”—adds urgency and connects directly with Tube passengers, making the ad feel more personal. The claim “THE UK’S No.1 NICOTINE POUCH” uses social proof to boost trust and appeal to popularity.
Visually, the ad grabs attention with bright colors and shows different flavors, highlighting variety. Placing the pouches on a Tube seat reinforces the commuting theme. The label “TOBACCO-FREE” offers a health-conscious message, appealing to those looking for safer nicotine alternatives.
Overall, the ad effectively combines lifestyle appeal, visual impact, and persuasive language to attract its audience in a relevant setting.
