A Plane Window

In May we had planned a one week journey through Sicily island. A place where we thought Africa, Europe and Asia had met each other. We and our friends had rented a car and took a start from Trapani. It was a small town with narrow streets and the smell of fish. In the evening we went out to find a local pizzeria with an Italian pizza. We came to Calvino and ordered a double pizza. To our surprise, it was as big as a pizza for 4 people in our opinion. What we liked about that place was

that it was the true Italian pizzeria, not like the ones crowded with tourists. We really enjoyed our pizza and beer. What about a town, it was not something special or had any attractions, but it had a real local atmosphere, which we could even feel by ourselves. On the next day we drove to the hills to visit Erice. It was said that on the sunny day you could see Africa from there. We walked down the streets, met a few old people sitting in the chairs like Sicilian bosses and drove back to Trapani. We had spent two nights before we moved to Palermo.
