Broadfeet across America

How can I sum up Disneyland... It's clearly impossible, and quite frankly I am way too tired to even try to put into words the amount of walking, screaming, laughing & more screaming that has been done in two days. Eighteen years ago there was only Disneyland ... just one park with Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto; one scary ride - "Space Mountain", an indoor and dark rollercoaster; and a great street parade in the evening. While these still all exist, there is now a second park (just as big if not a tad bigger) called "California Park" which has a multitude of additional rides based on more modern movies and characters.

Now this park, with it's more 'modern' concepts has more 'modern', bigger and terrifying rides .... suffice to say, I have nearly lost my voice!!! On Monday, we arrived at 9.45am and left at 8 pm (opening hours to closing hours), and I think we covered every inch of the original park, except for the shows and managed to get back onto some our favourite rides more than once.

Tuesday, on Peter's birthday .... yes we were able to spend Peter's birthday with him this year, even though the girls apologised for keeping him from his original Gorilla family (haha) .... again, we arrived at 9.30am and left a little earlier at 7 pm (in order to pack) and managed to get all of the rides done again in this park. Without too much detail, Miranda and Peter were able to ride the Hollywood Tower of Terror that goes high and drops down, and then flies up and drops again, an additional two times while Hayley and I were able to ride the very large, upside down, shooting very fast rollercoaster, an additional three times (5 times in total).

Many more details to come .... Exhausted and really can't believe this time tomorrow we will be at the airport getting ready for our midnight flight, and then home .... Yay!!
