So!
After i have been in Finland for nearly a week now, i figured i would get started on a little blog to share my experiences as an intern in the Aalto University in Helsinki!
I left home at the 23d of Febuari. The weather was bad both in Finland, but also in the Netherlands, so i was a tad nervous to see if my flight would get cancelled or not. Luckily it didn't, and after a slight delay of about an hour i was off towards a country i had never been to before.
During the flight i had chosen to sit near the end of the plane. There had been warnings by family and friends that was a turbulent spot, but i assured them i'd be fine.
Boy did i have to retract that statement! I spent a lot of time feeling dizzy while in the air, the slight turbulence was a little scary and near the landing i was fearing i would even toss my proverbial cookies!
But i digress. Once i arrived at my apartment and settled in, i decided to get some groceries so i would have some food for the following morning and a little in the evening as well.
Not only was there a LIDL across from my apartment (i was heavily amused by spotting it), but they also sold stroopwafels! Oh no wait, im sorry. I mean they sold ''hollantilainen vohveti''.
After i ate i soon settled in for bed, because i wanted to spend my vriday on getting to know my area and figuring out how to get to the university i'd be working at.
