The Team and Aisha

Nouakchott, 10/14/2017

One of the women in our Accounts Payable department gifted me with my own Mulafa (womens attire from the Moorish tribe). She showed me how to wrap myself in it.

My team decided that on Friday they would wear their traditional tribal outfits if I would put the Mulafa on for team photos.
In addition, one of my favorite guys (Sidi Baba) told me that now I needed an Arabic name. He named me Aisha. Aisha Papa. I googled the name and found out she was one of Muhamed’s wives and the name means “Mother of Believers”.

The locals I work with make everything else that is a challenge worthwhile. Here’s the team.
