His muscular body shows how fit of an athlete he was, as his multiple scars on his face and body showed his toughness. The only cloth on his body are the gloves wrapped around his hands, revealing the sport he was taking part in. If you look closely, you can see his deformed ear, which confirms that he was a boxer because it is a very common trait for a fighter to have.
