Rome Artifacts

In between the Capitoline and Palatine hills, laid a valley in which the most prominent square in Roman history formed, The Roman Forum. It became a place where every aspect of life happened. Court houses, temples, and market places were present. Every type of person and every social class collided in the Forum as lawyer, criminals, merchants, politicians, and priests all came together here. The Temple of Jupiter would have been at the head of the Forum, towering over everything else. When Julius Ceaser was killed, his body was cremated and stored at a special altar in the middle of the Forum.
