Saskatoon for City Explorers

Known as the "City of Bridges" or the "Paris of the Prairie," Saskatoon is perhaps the most fascinating city in Saskatchewan. With its brass-colored bridges reminiscent of Paris, the city sits photogenically along the wide South Saskatchewan River. Take a walk and have lunch like a local in the Broadway and Riversdale districts. Shop for handmade and freshly baked specialties at the Gather Local Market, or hop on a riverboat tour to admire Saskatoon's skyline from the water.

Saskatoon for Foodies

Farm-to-table dining at farms and distilleries run by the same family for centuries: Saskatoon is a foodie haven. Start your day right with bread from The Night Oven Bakery, made with house-milled organic Saskatchewan grains and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. For lunch, enjoy honest dishes at Farm One Forty, made with farm-grown ingredients, and take a tour of the 56-acre farm. Relax on a sunny terrace with a whiskey from Black Fox Farm & Distillery or a beer from 9 Mile Legacy Brewing Company. For dinner, try Odla Restaurant & Market, or shop for local ingredients at the SaskMade Market. This is just a taste of Saskatoon’s delectable and sustainable offerings!

Regina for nature lovers and birdwatchers

In the southern part of Regina lies a vast nature reserve: Wascana Centre. This green oasis is one of the largest urban parks in North America. Here, you can soak up the sun while strolling or kayaking to one of the many islands in Wascana Lake. Take a bike ride or watch the golden sunset on a paddleboard. Birdwatchers should bring their binoculars and bird guide, as the park houses the 100-acre Wascana Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Here, you can check off pelicans, cormorants, and other large and small (water)birds from your bucket list.
