We stayed at El Questro station for 5 nights and it was very good
The first full day at El Questro we went for a walk on the El Questro gorge walk and the walk was really good. For the first part of the walk we we going over marshes and mud and small rivers, using rocks as stepping stones. Than through rocks and trees. We had to follow blue squares either painted on the rocks or blue reflectors stuck on rocks. We soon arrived at a place called halfway pool where we had to carry our bags on top of our heads to get past the rock, and then we had to climb up the rock to keep on going. Then we climbed over massive rocks and over pools and even up a waterfall to get to the end waterfall pool.
On the way back we climbed down the waterfall and across the big boulders and instead of going the right way down half way pool we went down the waterfall side of it which was much more easier. All in all it took us about 4 hours with swims included to do the walk.
We also went to a really nice all You can eat buffet and we at 1/5 of the food there with some friends we had just meet.
The next day we went to Zebedee Springs which was a natural hot spring. It was nice we didn’t like because we couldn’t bomb in it or jump around.
After Zebedee Springs Mum, Mitchell, Charlie and I went on a horse ride for an hour around the station and it was really fun, we learnt the basics on riding the horse and even Mitchell controlled the horse there a bit. Then we went on a 4WD track with some of our neighbours and it was really good.
The next day we went to Emma gorge and the walk was really good but the pool at the end of the walk was amazing it was really refreshing and big, the best natural pool I’ve been in. We also went for a swim at the resort pool and had wedges and a drink each.
On our last full day at the resort all our neighbours had left and we decided to go on moonshine gorge. It was a good gorge but badly marked and we got lost about 4 times and it was a really hot walk because of the little shade. We also learnt how to play the card game 500.
The day that we were leaving we packed up and left but on the gravel road to get out of El Questro but before we got the of the gravel road we got a flat tyre.
All in all it was a great place with good activities and Walks but they needed better camp kitchens. ???? Halfway pool, you can see on the left where we went to get over the rock and how deep it was, and on the right was the water fall we had got down.
