Our Camping Trip 2019

We left Cairns & went to Port Douglas which is further north in QLD

Port Douglass is full of very expensive resorts which we did not stay in! We went for a walk along the beach but didn’t swim as there are crocs in the ocean.

The next day we went to Mossman gorge, the water was freezing, you had to get out to get warm. We then went & swam in 1 of the 7 pools at the Sheraton Hotel which my dad says is where someone called Skase went broke awhile ago

Cape Tribulation

Next stop was Cape Tribulation, we had to get a ferry to cross the river into the Daintree rainforest. It was a really windy road & when

we arrived it had rained a lot so we had to set up in the mud.

We are staying right next to the ocean (can’t swim again!) We found some coconuts & cracked them.

We went to a tropical fruit place where you go around the orchard & see or the exotic fruit & then you can have ice cream.

We went to the Daintree discovery centre where you could walk around & learn about the different plants & bush tucker.

There are meant to be Cassorwaries here but we didn’t see any.

It rained for most of the day. It’s the first time it’s rained for 3months when we have been camping.

We’re heading back to Cairns tomorrow.
