Our diary

Saturday 22 July
Hey there, I'm glad to let you know that I've landed safely! The first 10 hours were a bit hard, there was this loud buzzing sound of the plane that made it difficult to listen to music or to read a book, pretty much all I intended to do. But I survived it! The security and passport check went really fast. Security took only 5 minutes. Right now, I'm in Dallas, and I still have to fly another 2 hours :( I'm super excited to meet Alexis and I can't wait to see her!!

I landed at 18:35, walked out of the plane. Got through security and there she was! Tbh, I didn't expect her to be there already. Words can't describe what I felt, it was truly amazing. So we got my bags, and rode home. On the way home I kept on looking around me, everything is so different here. From the mountains to the road. after I settled down for a moment, we went on a ride. Kate and her mom took us to "The Park" It's a place where you can mix your own drinks. They have all sodas like cola, and Fanta, and you can add different flavors to them. I had Fanta, with cream. It may sound weird but it was really goood. Then we drove to a place, "Africa,"where we could see the sunset. I was pretty tired when we got home, so I was glad to be in bed after this first, very amazing, unbelievable day.

Sunday 23 July
I woke up at 5 this morning, and couldn't sleep afterwards, probably the jet-lag. We Skyped my family then for a while. After that we went to Church! It was my first time I've experienced a LDS congregation. It was different than a church congregation at home, but I still liked it. We hang out with a friend of Alexis after church, and decided to go on a hike in the afternoon. It was hot outside, but still doable. We stopped a few times to drink water and rest out for a bit. Walking up to the op was absolutely worth it, the view was amazing! We could look over Salt Lake City, and we could even see the airport.
