Wednesday 25 july
First hike in st. George! We went to Snow Canyon, a place with old volcanoes. It was again, very beautiful. The scenery was absolutely stunning. We walking inside a lava tube. And although I don't like being in dark caves, this was worth it. I 'm also afraid of heights, but I did walk up the mountain to reach the overlook point. You could see the whole valley! In the evening we went to Tuachan, a musical theatre which is in the open air. The mountains were the background. It was something I've never seen before. We went to see Newsies, a musical about newspaper boys who are organizing a strike. I really, really loved it. The dancing was amazing. And because it was outside, you could see the stars as well. We decided to buy tickets for the musical Mama Mia as well, it was playing on Thursday.

Donderdag 26 juli
Nog maar een week te gaan! De tijd gaat veel te snel hier. Ik heb het nog steeds erg naar mijn zin! Vandaag zijn we naar Zions geweest, een nationaal park. Ook hier genegen we weer hiken. Het was alleen super druk! De mega parkeerplaats stond helemaal vol, dus we moesten in het dorpje zelf parkeren. Op het park zelf waren shuttles, bussen, die ons naar verschillende wandelroutes brachten. We hebben daar een kleine route gekozen, het was best wel warm, en Boston, het neefje van
Alexis die 10 maanden oud is, was ook mee. We wandelden onder een waterval door. Lekker even afkoelen ;) S'middags zijn we nog even naar het zwembad geweest. En s'avonds weer een fantastische musical! Ik raad echt iedereen aan om ooit naar St George te gaan. Weer waren de dansen geweldig. Je zou verwachten dat het geluid in een openlucht theater misschien niet geweldig is, maar dat is in Tuachan niet het geval, er speelt live een orkest mee.

Friday 28 July
We decided to go to Bryce canyon, we went at a good time. It had just rained so it wasn't too hot. Alexis and I rode with Meghan and her family. Boston was really cute. We went on a really easy hike that was basically a short walk. The view was amazing and there were chipmunks everywhere. Seriously they'd come out of nowhere. I was okay with them until Alexis told me they bite. Back to the view- it was awesome. When you looked over the railing it seemed as though you were looking into a deep deep hole. That's basically what it was in all honesty. Riley, Isaac, Nicole, Alexis, and I decided to go on the Navajo Loop trial. We went down into the hole, there were a lot of switchbacks. Definitely worth it. "Going down was easy but going up felt like my lungs were being torn out and stomped on." -Alexis. That evening we went swimming. Alexis and I danced outside again and Alexis serenaded me with songs about cheese, popcorn, chairs, etc.
