Our diary

I did not want to leave at all, but my plane left at 13:40 so I had to. We said our final goodbyes, and both started crying. We'll miss each other a lot! I walked through security with tears in my eyes, it was super sad. Luckily, the first bit of my journey wasn't that long. It was over before I even knew it. I arrived in Phoenix, and had to find the check in desk since I didn't have my boarding passes for the next 2 flights. This was a bit of struggle, because there were multiple elevators. I took the wrong 2 times, but I found it in the end. Originally, I had to wait there for 5 hours, so I found some comfy chairs to sit on, while I could charge my phone. When I arrived at the gate, I could see that it was raining, well it was storming. Rain came through the ceiling! I found out that my plane wasn't leaving until 21:45. The whole airport was closed because of the storm, so there were no planes leaving at all. I did get a free meal voucher :). When a new plane finally arrived, we could take off for London. I arrived too late to catch my next flight. I was waiting in a lane to rebook my missed flight, when I found out that they already rebooked my flight, and that that flight was leaving in one hour! The steward told me I really had to hurry, so I had to run. First I had to find the right terminal, I was in 3, and had to go to 5. That meant I had to take a bus to get there. I had to go through security again, and had to take off my shoes. I had 5 minutes left before the gate would close, so I ran on my socks through the gate. I made it, I was just one time. Phew! Although I made it, my suitcase didn't. It was still in London, but will be delivered at my house. It was a challenge, but I got home safely!
