North America Travel Diary - Carlie Barnett

Day 4: After flying from Calgary to Whistler, I arrived at the Sundial Boutique Hotel where I would be staying for three days. Day 5: Zip lining and tree adventures were a blast! Zip lining through the forest and great Whistler landscape was so much fun, especially with the wind in your face and the smell of pine trees in the air. Some other types of trees I discovered were western hemlock trees. The tree

adventures were an assortment of obstacle courses, up in the air and the obstacles were suspended by tree branches. Tightropes, ladders, bridges, planks, and zip lines were only some of the obstacles there.

Day 6: Bungee jumping was so much fun! I really enjoyed it because it was my first time and I also got to learn about the bridges and the river we "jumped" into. The river we bungee jumped into was the glacial-fed, Cheakamus River. It was located close to the village so after bungee jumping, I went to dinner at a highly recommended pizza place.

Day 7: Whistler was amazing, and summer had a huge abundance of activities such as white water rafting and jet boating. The weather was in the 60s the whole time so the weather was pretty crisp. Now, I am on my way to Orange County, California.
