Our Journey Continues

As we are getting on a bit now we were happy to have some relaxing time back in Limoux after our Central European tour before we started new adventures. We had 10 days doing very little except the basics.

The leaves and flowers had returned, the birds were nesting, the fishing season had started and it was a great time to be outside. We have a pair of doves that insist, despite our efforts on making their nest over on a pipe supported by a wire (French wiring) on our balcony. They have had 3 broods now.

Rest and Relaxation at Limoux

April 10, 2017

As we are getting on a bit now we were happy to have some relaxing time back in Limoux after our Central European tour before we started new adventures. We had 10 days doing very little except the basics.

The leaves and flowers had returned, the birds were nesting, the fishing season had started and it was a great time to be outside. We have a pair of doves that insist, despite our efforts on making their nest over on a pipe supported by a wire (French wiring) on our balcony. They have had 3 broods now.

We had picnics by the river as well as other social events in the local community. Everyone in our apartment building, Maison Blanche, is very social and a lot more functional than that other White House. One neighbour Carol (and dog Max) had escaped the US for 3 months once she heard of the election results. Carol was a really talkative person and her stories in that slow southern accent were hilarious.

Dinner photo include the building's expat community - 2 Australians, 1 Pom, 2 Americans, 1 Scottish, 1 Scottish/Norwegian guests.
