Our Journey Continues

We were looking forward to some quiet time after the tour of Central Europe, one canal boat trip, two road trips and three groups of visitors. Our calendar was almost clear for the next three months except for one more short visit. As this was Jeff and Jax Camp we knew we wouldn't get our quiet time just yet!!!

We took this opportunity to check out more of Limoux: the quirky Guinot Cellar tour and degustation (they still hand turn and bottle the wines) and a scenic walk to the Gothic Notre Dame de Marceille.

Limoux and Surrounds

We were looking forward to some quiet time after the tour of Central Europe, one canal boat trip, two road trips and three groups of visitors. Our calendar was almost clear for the next three months except for one more short visit. As this was Jeff and Jax Camp we knew we wouldn't get our quiet time just yet!!!

We took this opportunity to check out more of Limoux: the quirky Guinot Cellar tour and degustation (they still hand turn and bottle the wines) and a scenic walk to the Gothic Notre Dame de Marceille.

We had dinner at L’Odelisque a French restaurant which has beautiful artistically presented food with wine matching. It was a great evening except for one incident. During the meal the waitress asked if the food was OK. Jeff responded with "No this is not OK"...... pause for long enough for the waitress to look horrified...... "It is tres magnifique!!" There were relieved laughs all around until we could see that the poor lady understood Jeff''s little joke.

A few days later we said goodbye heading in opposite directions, our visitors back to Australia and us to Montpellier to finally complete our visa formalities.
