Me and Two Women Vol 2

The ladies are going to hit old town Kotor and do some shopping today. I am going to stay "home" and do what I want to do. Think I'll take some old stale bread down to the water and see if I can chum up so fish. Had a visitor this morning. To the left is when she first appeared below is where she is now anchored...I should invite them over for breakfast! Too bad, they just flood the town and jam things up. The locals, according to one taxi driver, don't like them too much as they really don't spend a lot of money and cause a drain on services. Well, out of the blue, here comes another one...damn.

This may change our plans and the we all may get out of Dodge while the hordes are pillaging the village. We are attempting to save the day. Opting maybe for a journey to some small local village away from the maddening crowds.

This may change our plans and the we all may get out of Dodge while the hordes are pillaging the village. We are attempting to save the day. Opting maybe for a journey to some small local village away from the maddening crowds.

We decide to sit around and look at each other...not too inspiring, no offense intended. But, sometimes, that can be a motivating experience.
A decision has been made! We are going to a small town, on the other side of the bay, and stay away from old town. Herceg Novi, the silt from the bottom of the ocean near this tiny town is used as a remedy for aches and pains.

We place a call to our favorite Red and White taxi driver, Bota, who we have used a few times previously. He picks us up at the flat and we head out to Herceg Novi. Little did we know, or even suspect, it is almost 45 Euros to get there and an hour in the taxi. We arrive, finally. The village is on a hill above the water with a small old town. It is about 65,231 steps down to the beach. We opt out. Carroll and I are starving. We find a nice little place where we can eat outside as it

is a beautiful day, on the town square. I had jamon and melon, Shirley has spaghetti with chicken and Ms. Carroll has a plate of cheese and olives and jamon, it fills the bill. There is a smallish church on the square. I think it is St. Nicoli. We go in but, no pictures. It is very small and very ornate. I would estimate the church proper was no more than 1200 square feet.

There is not a whole lot to see in this place. But, the big plus is there are very few tour groups. So, all is not lost. We stroll for a bit and then decide to grab a taxi and get to the bus depot for a trip back to Kotor. The bus ride is 3 Euros each..the three of us ride back to Kotor for 9 Euros versus 45 Euros to get there...hmmmmm. Plus the time is almost the same taxi versus bus.

Tonight we are going to restaurant in the old town by the name of

Hippo Delight or some such thing. We take a taxi, the traffic is light because the two ships have left, into old town. We can't find the restaurant....? Huddling up we decide to go back to Scorpio where we had lunch the other day. Not a bad choice, the ladies each have a sea bass fillet in a black truffle sauce and I have a plate of chicken, sausage, hamburger pattie and pork chop and fries (no veggies, just meat and french fries)...too much food for all of us, plus, Carroll has a piece of some cherry cheese cake like dessert.

Time to hit the hay.
