Poland

Adolf Hitler was a power hungry or greedy man when it comes to countries. He wanted to be in control of every possible country he could take over, which resulted in the invasion of Poland. The invasion of Poland occurred on September 1st, 1939; it was one of the most important earlier events in World War II. Since Germany was under the leadership of Adolf Hitler he used the opportunity of the non- aggression pact with the Soviet Union to invade Poland. The nonaggression pact was signed between the Soviet Union and Germany in Moscow on August 23rd, 1939. It was an act that called for neither countries to be able to attack or fight against one another.

So when the invasion of Poland happened they split the country in half. One half of Poland would be taken by the Soviet Union in the other half of Poland would be taken by the Nazi Germany. This invasion what is 1 of the several events Nazi Germany attempted to regain what they had lost after World War One as a part of the Treaty of Versailles.
Hitler also initiated this attack as an act of revenge. He was sneaky with the invasion of Poland. He ordered some of the German soldiers to pose as Polish troops to invade a German radio station. Therefore citizens of Germany became terrified of a huge attack against Germany. Although in reality the Nazi Germans staged that incident to create propaganda so the Germans would have a reason to attack Poland. Upon the attack of Poland Germany consisted of more than two thousand tanks and nearly nine hundred bombers along with four hundred fighter planes. Along with Germany's resources, Hitler appointed 1.5 million men for this invasion. Poland lacked modern weaponry and equipment which resulted in their defeat within only a couple weeks.
