The last three days have been one thing above all: gray! Needless to say that the ambiance on the ship has slightly faded to gray as well. We’ve been cruising through the Chilien fjords since new year’s and we’ve seen only clouds, rain and wind. It’s especially frustrating as we’ve been surrounded by supposedly breathtaking landscapes and I haven’t felt like making photos. I even had to fill this blog entry with generic food porn.
On the 1st of January we landed in Punta Arenas, a fairly pointless stop as on that day everything was closed, but out of boredom I started to ask people for weed on the the deserted streets and a young man invited me to his house for a joint which was quite a funny moment. I also proudly realized that I have quite a bit of Spanish still stored in my head somewhere.
The last two days we also approached two more glaciers but it couldn’t wake much of my enthusiasm as I was just tired of gray tones. Instead I’ve been following a somewhat boring yet healthy daily routine of gym, sauna, food and working on my act for the second show. I’ll gladly admit there’s worse things one can do and worse places one could be.
