How strange to finally be in Rio de Janeiro, one of the most iconic metropoles of the world, and not be able to really see it. Even though the endless flight (with a view on Canary Islands and the Azores) was quite smooth and we arrived in Rio in the afternoon there was not enough time left to go out and browse through the city. It’s already 9pm when the immigration process, all boarding formalities and the first artist meeting are dealt with. What a shame! But then again there will be so much amazing places to see in the next three weeks.

Also after having been on MS EUROPA 2 it’s quite fun to inspect and discover MS EUROPA, the older yet smaller sister. It’s too soon to have a clear opinion as I’m too tired today to check it all out but my first impression based on esthetics is as follows: If MS EUROPA 2 was a modern luxury resort on the Côte d’Azur the MS EUROPA would be a family owned hotel on Usedom. So not quite as stunning but still a pretty sweet place to be.
