Why?

After talking to friends, Facebook groups and countless hours on the internet researching every aspect of cruises we decided on our trip.

We chose to go on the cruise before we go to the Special Olympics.

We will be sailing with Princess cruises aboard the Princess Ruby. The ship is huge (in my eyes)
Length: 951 feet
Height: 195 feet
Tonnage: 113,561
Guest Cabins: 1,542
Passengers: 3500
Crew: 1500
Number of Decks: 19
Pools: 4
Restaurants: 6
Bars: 10
Casino: 1

We chose a balcony room - mid ship (to help ease any seasickness that might occur). Everyone recommended the balcony. The sites of Alaska are too beautiful not to see out your window everyday. Our cabin (like all cabins) is small but has a lot to offer. We will be on the Caribe deck in cabin C509.

Approx. 214 to 222 sq. ft., including balcony
Balcony with 2 chairs and table
Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors
Comfortable queen or two twin beds
Refrigerator.
Flat-panel television
Private bathroom with shower
100% cotton, high-thread count linens
Complimentary 24-hour room service
Spacious closet
Desk
Hair dryer & fine bathroom amenities
Digital security safe

Our Sailing Itinerary will be:

The cruise is all set at this point but airlines haven't opened their flight schedules yet. We will need to wait a couple weeks to book the flights.

I am getting very excited about the whole trip. I can do it!!!
