My diary

From the day I arrived at the MLK Church for the first time, I knew in my heart that it truly was a special place. I could sense God's presence so heavily from that first minute, and it was a feeling that I could not ignore. The people of the church were so kind and helpful to make me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived, and have not stopped. I continue to be in awe from the kindness and joy that reside in the hearts of the church people, and I know that God utilizes them so well.
My first service in MLK was magical. The sweetest woman named Giselle was our translator, and even with the language barrier I could fully understand the message and receive many blessings from it. Giselle was not supposed to be the translator that week, but she cared for us so much that she stepped into the role as our translator could not come. The worship at MLK has to be my favorite part of church. It is so helpful in my french studies to be able to sing worship to the Lord in french, and translate in my head to english. I really feel God moving during every worship session, and it makes me feel that I have never left home. The people of the church like Gaëlle, Emannuelle, Jeff, and Nicolas continue to always go out of their way to make sure that we are in good spirits both mentally and spiritually. I love the diversity of the church and am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be hosted at such a God-filled place.
I have not had the chance to serve at church yet, but I would love so much to be apart of either the prayer team, or the coffee and greeting crew. I have always loved helping people become closer to the Lord, and praying over people would bring me so much joy. I also fancy a good cup of coffee and conversation, so I hope that I may also be able to be a greeter and talk to some of the french people about the bible and holy spirit.
I am so thankful that God has brought me to France, and most of all to the MLK Church. I am truly blessed.
