Israel Adventures

The Sea of Galilee was again one of the most emotional places that I visited. It was very nice because we got to watch a video and clean ourselves with olive oil, making our skin nice and clean.

It was also the place where I had my first emotional breakdown, I think because Israel as a country was very important to me when I was in undergrad before I got sick. It was a reminder of a life before it was devastated before illness. I think this is part of the reason why I did not enjoy Israel as much as I could of, especially since it was one of the places I have always wanted to visit.

The boat ride on the Sea of Galilee was amazing. I got to talk to a few people from PLI and I think I want to eventually apply for this and pray I get in. I don't know what I want to do after I graduate from Azusa, but I think I might want to return to what I was studying before I stated studying Theology, which was Political Science. If I do, I would love to research Israel and go to school there. It is something that has always interested me, and PLI would help me be able to do that.

While I was on the Sea of Galilee, I spent a lot of time reflecting on what it would have been like for the disciples to have seen Jesus walking on water. What was it like to see any of the miracles of Jesus? It was a lot easier to reflect on this being in the place where it happened. I spent a lot of time wondering if Jesus was glowing, because how else could they have seen him at night? It was an important thing to consider, especially given the transfiguration.

I also started wondering about all the miracles of Jesus that we don't know about. 30 years is a long, I know, I am 30, and there is so much that we do not know about Jesus and His life. I want to know more.
