The Peruvian coast has been amazing with beautiful views, sealions and pinguins, a swimming pool, Peruvian wines from the vinyard tour and some chill time. I ate Ceviche, the traditional raw fish dish at the coast of Paracas and i liked it more than in Cusco. And i didnt get sick this time, what was a relief. Also the desert before was a great and hot experience. The Nazca lines in the Nazca desert, a series of ancient geoglyphs were quite impressive. And i did sandboarding in Huacachina, an oasis in the sand desert. I was first a little afraid, but i went for it with the sandbuggy, and the view was soo pretty. The sandboarding i did on my belly as the hill was incredible high and i cant even snowboard, but it was still so cool. I can only recommend to do it.
Now i am in Lima (Miraflores) writing in my diary on my last evening in Peru. Lima has been big and with lots of traffic. I saw the old town, walked along the beach and drank a cocktail in the coolest district, Barranco, the hipster/artist district here. Tomorrow i fly to Rio to meet Jessica again, a brasilian friend i met in Germany. Also my best german friend is flying to Rio the same time i will be there. It will be so much fun!
But i will miss Peru and its friendly people and good traditional food, like quinoa, ajila, pisco... I met a lot of people during my travel. Some brasilian guys accompanied me at the boarder from Chile to Peru. At the coast i met a lot of Dutch and british people, some belgians, girls from Texas etc. You meet so many people when you travel alone and i love it.
