Week One
Travelled around Birmingham and got settled in my room at Mary Sturge. The view from my window shows off Aston University's Main building where all of my classes will be. Dad dropped me off at the Mary Sturge residences before heading back to London for his flight.
Met a whole group of international students during orientation week from all over the world. Did a pub crawl on Wednesday night and discovered some great locations such as the Green Gosta and Sun on the Hill.
On Friday, explored more of Birmingham with some other Canadian Exchange students and went to a couple of historic places. We first dropped by the St. Phillips Cathedral which was beautiful on the inside with massive stained glass windows. The church was actually

Birmingham Week One
Week One
Travelled around Birmingham and got settled in my room at Mary Sturge. The view from my window shows off Aston University's Main building where all of my classes will be. Dad dropped me off at the Mary Sturge residences before heading back to London for his flight.
Met a whole group of international students during orientation week from all over the world. Did a pub crawl on Wednesday night and discovered some great locations such as the Green Gosta and Sun on the Hill.

bombed in 1940 and the entire ceiling was destroyed.
After we went to the Birmingham Art Gallery where we spent almost 3 hours learning about the history of Birmingham, exploring new exhibits as well as exhibits with artefacts from Ancient Greece and Roman civilizations
We ended the night at the Jekyll & Hyde Gin Parlour which was named after the famous book.
