Team Weiji Diary

On Sunday, we woke up early with the excitement to visit one of the 'Eight Wonders of the World' the Great Wall of China which streches roughly 7,000 km through the mountains across five provinces from Shanhaiguan Pass in the east to Jiayuguan Pass in the west.

The skies were clear and the visibility was excellent. The locals said we were lucky as the weather for last few days was not as good as that day. The fun part was taking the ropeways that lifted us up to the mountain rim and it was all so fast. It was a very special feeling to be able to drive through Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco, fly all the way to Beijing and finally be where history was created, the Great Wall of China. After enjoying the airlift, we came down the mountain even faster, just in few minutes by riding down a toboggan!!

After our trip to the Great Wall, we had another excellent dinner waiting for us. Dr. Sam Beldona, Dean of the Barowsky School of Business welcomed all of us that evening at a special restaurant in Beijing and speciality of the evening was the 'peking duck.'
