Nova Scotia 7-3-16

Started out about 10:00 - got on 11E which heads west toward Bristol. Had a navigating melt down in Bristol so Spencer chose to ride the interstate to Johnson City. Then to Greenville TN for lunch at the Hotel - a grand old hotel we had stayed at before. Again the rain is cooling things off but missing our path. From Greenville south to Waynesville then we head for the barn - got home about sundown. Gracie greeted us as we opened the gate. Good to be home - but what a trip. - can't believe we rode all the way to Nova Scotia. All I have to say is I had a great driver who took me over 4000 miles on all kinds of roads with all kinds of challenging weather without incident - just awesome scenery and a smooth ride.

SSB

The last day always seems the most challenging. Knowing we are close to home and at the end of THIS trip gets very emotional. Today happens to be our highest mileage day which adds to the anxiety as I wanted to be home before dark. I got frustrated with the navigator and lost my cool...not good. The chatter got quiet for a while.

Had a great Cuban sandwich in Greenville then took highway and interstate into North Carolina. Put on rain pants in Waynesville which I didn't need. Final gas up outside Hayesville then home via Blairsville, Elijay, and Calhoun. The skies were beautiful and rain was held at bay. Nice cool ride into the valley.

Gracie greeted us then went about her business. VB watered the plants as I unloaded gear for the last time.
