The pro to the flight to Munich was that the flight was $120.
The con to the flight to Munich was that the flight was $120.
lol.
I drove to NJ with my parents on the 14th leaving at 7:45AM(which was 15 minutes earlier than I expected since I asked my parents to try to leave by 7AM, and their 7AM is my/the rest of the world's 10AM. but I was strict hahah so only delayed an hour.
Nathan managed to lock himself out of the car again(he's did this 3 times in the past 2 weeks, the pride of our family ;) ) while walking Darcy so I had fun running around that morning lol.
I got to meet two poppin' friends, Serena and Danny, for lunch at Panera. I had joked to Serena that we'd eat lunch with my parents but I didn't realize my parents planned to meet Carissa & Jared at the same Panera, so it became semi-reality, because Carissa and Jared walked into the Panera the exact same time Danny & Serena did, and my parents were at the entrance and I walked down the hall to see all 6 of them right there HAHA. So it was pretty great, though my family was at a table a little further than us hahahah, but my dad kept tapping my shoulder to get the car keys from me. Gooood Times. I really enjoyed catching up with those two they're dear to my heart. "Do you want to get more of that?", Serena the Boss.
Then my family & I went to the airport being driven by Jared, total trooper, a car almost merged into our car right as we merged into the drop off area, and a police came and pulled that car over because it was psycho, so we almost fatally crashed but didn't, yay onward to traveling lol. We then boarded our wonderful Red-Eye flight with separate seats, my mom was sitting to an older gentleman who had chronic nosebleeds and had tissues in his nose the entire 8 hour flight, and carissa & I somehow got seats together, so I switched with my mom so she could sit with carissa, because somehow the airport security made her anxious and I felt bad haha, we are amongst the kind of people who get super scared by police despite doing nothing wrong.
We stopped in Lisbon went through customs super confused because we hadn't flown internationally in awhile haha, and then finished our last 3 hour leg to Munich which we all fell asleep in and the people next to us could laugh at the semi violent nodding of our heads in all the different directions trying to sleep. Or perhaps fear for their lives of being hit by our face hahah, either way I'm sure they enjoyed having us next to them.
We landed in Munich, and was questioned by the German police right out of the plane(I dig it Germany), basically asking where is our destination, we were a little scared/taken aback hahaha. "Uhhh.uhh.....here?", they let us all through despite our timidness lol.
Our luggage came out really fast, EXCEPT my mom's luggage. We waited. All the luggage was distributed. We asked where it was, they said it was coming. It didn't. Lol. But then they got someone to manually get it from the distributing machine because it was caught or something weird...so we eventually got it. hahaha.
Then Got our car(chose a ford focus instead of a bmw as our "compact car" because we thought a ford would be more suitable/relaxing to drive with a little more room for luggage, and then found out it was a huge station wagon that's terrifying to drive LOL. And beeps at you angrily. Good Decisions 101. )
We got to our hotel in the middle of nowhere and found out that we landed on a holiday called Christi Corpus or something, and everything was closed HAHA, Planning 101. We were super hungry/hangry and fortunately found one place open despite it being pretty deserted. There we had some schnitzel & my mom had ordered fish and got an entire fish which was really entertaining to see her eat, and went back to our hotel without having murdered anyone in the family yet.
Carissa & I thought our room was a bogus room because there was no electricity and plumbing didn't work, but fortunately we went to our parents room and discovered you had to put your room card in a slot

to turn that stuff on, so we avoided looking like doofuses(well..maybe that's unavoidable). We then napped for a few hours and woke up at 10PM...so close to the proper time to wake up...
Then I had a lot of fun the next few hours because the Red Eye flight and 2 days traveling essentially threw off my coffee cycle, and I apparently react really violently to coffee withdrawal by throwing up everything in my entire system. So Carissa got to experience me throwing up for a solid 2 hours. Auf Wiedersehen Schnitzel.
Then we watched Beauty and the Beast so we could have it stuck in our heads forever and forget that I just threw up the world inside our hotel toilet.
AND SO BEGINS OUR GERMAN TRIP!
