We picked up the camper van on my birthday and went to Avebury. There were lots of rocks forming a big circle (the biggest stone circle in the world - there was a village inside the circle). We got to touch them and they were 5,000 years old. For lunch we had a traditional English roast and the dog beside us in the restaurant got a meal served to him on a plate with peas, carrot, pork, potato and gravy!
The next day we stopped at Stonehenge and mum was really excited while dad and I thought it was a just a big bunch of rocks. On the way we saw three horses which were more exciting. The rocks were also 5,000 years old and mum took over 30 photos.
We drove to Dartmouth which is one the sea and we went crabbing.

We drove to Dartmouth which is one the sea and we went crabbing.
You put bacon in a small net bag and dropped it over the side of the sea wall. It was really high. The crabs cling onto the meat bag and you then you wind them up and put them in a bucket of water. We caught 12 but we didn't eat them but you can if you want to.
On the way from Dartmouth to Padstow, Cornwall, we had Devonshire tea in the shire of Devon in a castle. That afternoon in Padstow we went crabbing and it was terrible. We didn't catch anything. We had fish and ships instead.
The next day we went to King Arthur's castle and heard the legend of him. He was the son of a King who went to live with a wizard. When his dad died a rock came down from heaven with a sword in it. They said that whoever could pull the sword out of the rock would be king. Only Arthur could do it. The wizard took him to a lake where a lady gave him a sword called "Excalibur" and said you will always win every battle with this sword.
After visiting his castle on a rock we had Cornish pasties for lunch.
We are now in the Forest of Dean and we went for a bike ride to Monmouth where King Henry the fifth was born. Monmouth was not that great after a 16 mile bike ride, but looking on the bright side, I got a coca cola and mac and cheese for lunch.
